How to Manage A cPanel License
As of January 2020, cPanel is now licensed based on the number of active cPanel accounts on the server. As such, we have a license management system now available inside of the Surge Control Panel.
In this article, we’ll walk you through how to add, delete, and manage cPanel licenses on your ServerMania Hybrid or Dedicated Servers.
How cPanel Is Licensed
You will need a cPanel license for the primary server IP of any server you wished to have cPanel licensed by us. Licenses are not pooled between servers, so if you have 5 servers each with 1 cPanel user, you will need to pay for 5 cPanel licenses.

How to Add a cPanel License
Step 1: Login to the Surge Control Panel
Click here to login to the Surge Control Panel.
Step 2: View Services
Click View Services under the Billing and Services menu.
Step 3: Click on cPanel
Click on the service listed for cPanel.
Step 4: Click New License
Click the New License button in order to start the cPanel ordering process
Step 5: Enter Server IP
Enter the server IP to be licensed, select cPanel / WHM in the product list, and click submit.
Note that you only need to license the primary IP of each server.
How to Remove a cPanel License
Step 1: Login to the Surge Control Panel
Click here to login to the Surge Control Panel.
Step 2: View Services
Click View Services under the Billing and Services menu.
Step 3: Click on cPanel
Click on the service listed for cPanel.
Step 4: Click Delete
Next to the license you wish to remove, click the Delete button.
You will be asked to confirm the cancellation.
